Flextron ™ 1055 TPE is a thermoplastic elastomer material that performs well in applications that require better performance than traditional elastomers. This grade has good chemical resistance and can maintain consistent mechanical properties in environments with large temperature changes. Due to these characteristics, Flextron ™ 1055 TPE components are the preferred solution for the transportation and railway industries, often used to replace conventional rubber and steel on high-performance springs in locomotive and vehicle buffers, tension gears, and traction gear applications.
